Anurag Chauhan

YOUTH SPOTLIGHT

Anurag Chauhan, born in 1994 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, is a dedicated social worker, cultural activist, and the founder of Humans For Humanity, a non-profit organization that has brought about transformative change in the lives of women and marginalized communities across India. He began his journey in social service at the age of 14 and is best known for his pioneering work in menstrual hygiene awareness through the WASH (Women, Sanitation, Hygiene) project. This initiative has reached over 3.5 million women across six Indian states, promoting health, dignity, and empowerment by breaking taboos around menstruation.

In addition to his menstrual health initiatives, Anurag played a significant role during the COVID-19 pandemic by providing relief to over 8,000 families, including daily wage laborers, sex workers, and LGBTQ+ individuals. His organization also supports rural education, skill development, and employment generation for underprivileged youth and women.
