This Refund & Payment Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms governing all payments, processing charges, and refund conditions associated with the services provided by Indian Book of Records (“we”, “our”, “us”). By submitting a record attempt, purchasing services, or using payment facilities on our website, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Policy.
We currently accept the following payment options:
1. Credit/Debit Cards
2. UPI & Net Banking
3. Mobile Wallets
4. Bank Transfers
5. Approved third-party payment gateways
Payments must be made in full at the time of purchase or application submission.
All payments must be made in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise specified.
A digital receipt or confirmation email is automatically issued after successful payment.
Participants are responsible for retaining proof of payment for future reference.
Certain services are strictly non-refundable, regardless of application status, outcome, or later withdrawal. These include:
1. Record application fees
2. Processing and administrative charges
3. Fast-track verification fees
4. Adjudicator/on-site judge fees
5. Shipping & handling fees for certificates or merchandise
6. Customized certificate or medal orders
7. Media, photography, or promotional packages
8. Digital downloads or online materials
Once payment is made for any of the above, refunds cannot be issued under any circumstances.
Refunds may be considered only under the following limited conditions:
If the same transaction is accidentally charged more than once, a refund may be issued for the duplicate amount after verification.
If a payment fails but funds are deducted due to a gateway or banking error, the amount may be refunded after confirmation from the payment provider.
If a paid service is permanently discontinued by Indian Book of Records before delivery, a partial or full refund may be provided at our discretion.
Refunds are not granted for participant-related issues such as incorrect submissions, non-compliance with rules, incomplete evidence, or failure to qualify.
Participants understand and accept that:
1. Rejected submissions
2. Disqualified attempts
3. Failures to meet category requirements
4. Breach of rules, conduct violations, or incomplete evidence
5. Withdrawal after submission
Do not qualify for a refund, as verification teams would have already allocated time and resources.
All evaluation, processing, and administrative fees remain non-refundable.
If a participant chooses to withdraw their application, request cancellation, or decides not to proceed with the record attempt after payment, no refund will be issued.
In rare situations where we initiate cancellation due to logistical or operational reasons, we may offer:
1. A refund, or
2. Credit toward another service
This is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–21 working days depending on:
1. Payment method
2. Bank or gateway policies
3. Verification of request
Timeframes are estimates and may vary due to third-party processing delays.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting our support team is considered a breach of this Policy.
If a chargeback is incorrectly initiated:
1. Your application may be suspended
2. Certificates or recognitions may be withheld
3. Legal or administrative action may be taken, if necessary
We encourage participants to resolve issues directly with us first.
Indian Book of Records reserves the right to:
1. Modify fees
2. Introduce new service charges
3. Offer promotional discounts
4. Discontinue specific services
All changes will be updated on the website and are applicable immediately unless stated otherwise.
