Indian Book of Records (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to fostering an environment of fairness, integrity, and respect across all record attempts. All participants, individuals, groups, teams, institutions, and organizations, must adhere to the following Code of Conduct to ensure a safe, ethical, and transparent experience.
This Code applies before, during, and after every official record attempt.

1. Commitment to Integrity

1.1 Honesty in All Actions

Participants must provide truthful information, genuine evidence, and accurate representations of their abilities, achievements, and identity.

1.2 Zero Tolerance for Fraud

Any attempt to falsify data, manipulate evidence, or deceive officials or adjudicators will result in disqualification and possible permanent blacklisting.

2. Respect & Fair Play

2.1 Respect for Officials and Adjudicators

Participants must treat adjudicators, staff, and verification teams with courtesy, professionalism, and respect at all times.

2.2 Respect for Fellow Participants

Aggressive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior of any kind, including verbal, physical, or digital harassment, is strictly prohibited.

2.3 Fair Competition

Participants must not engage in acts that unfairly hinder, sabotage, or mislead other competitors.

3. Safety & Compliance

3.1 Prioritize Safety

Participants must ensure that their attempt does not endanger themselves, spectators, staff, or the general public.

3.2 Use of Approved Equipment

All equipment, tools, or machinery involved in the record attempt must be safe, functional, and compliant with category rules.

3.3 Venue & Legal Compliance

Participants must obtain necessary permissions to use venues, public spaces, or restricted environments.
They must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and local guidelines.

4. Ethical Conduct

4.1 No Harmful Activities

Attempts involving cruelty, violence, exploitation, environmental harm, or unethical practices are strictly prohibited.

4.2 Respect for Privacy

Participants may not record, share, or publish unauthorized footage of spectators, officials, or other participants.

4.3 No Plagiarism or Misappropriation

Participants must not copy or claim another person’s record attempt, evidence, or idea.

5. Transparency During the Attempt

5.1 Follow All Category Rules

Every attempt must adhere strictly to the rules of the specific record category.

5.2 Full Visibility

The entire attempt must be clearly visible to witnesses and cameras. Hidden or restricted-performance setups are not allowed.

5.3 No Unauthorized Alterations

Once the attempt begins, no changes to equipment, measurement tools, or rules are allowed unless pre-approved.

6. Cooperation With Verification Teams

6.1 Provide Complete Evidence

Participants must submit all required documentation, videos, photos, witness statements, logs, and technical records, without omission or alteration.

6.2 Respond Promptly

Participants must respond to clarification requests or additional evidence requests in a timely manner.

6.3 Accept Final Decisions Professionally

All decisions regarding verification, rejection, or record status are final unless the appeal process is formally initiated.

7. Conduct With Media & Public

7.1 Responsible Public Behavior

Participants must conduct themselves responsibly in all interactions with media, sponsors, and audiences.

7.2 No Misuse of Brand Name

The Indian Book of Records name, logo, certification, or reputation may not be used in a misleading or unauthorized manner.

7.3 Promotional Content

Participants may promote their attempt only after receiving proper approvals for official branding, statements, or appearances.

8. Safeguarding Minors

8.1 Parental/Guardian Involvement

Participants under the age of 18 must have documented consent from a parent or legal guardian.

8.2 Child Welfare & Protection

All attempts involving minors must prioritize physical, emotional, and psychological safety.

9. Environmental Responsibility

9.1 No Environmental Damage

Participants must ensure their attempt does not cause pollution, waste, destruction of natural resources, or harm to wildlife.

9.2 Clean-Up Compliance

Participants are responsible for restoring any venue or environment to its original condition post-attempt.

10. Consequences of Misconduct

Violations of this Code may result in:
1. Immediate disqualification
2. Permanent ban from future record attempts
3. Withdrawal of titles, certificates, or published achievements
4. Legal action depending on the severity of the violation
Indian Book of Records reserves the right to enforce disciplinary actions without prior notice.

11. Acknowledgment

By participating in any record attempt, you acknowledge that:

✓ You will uphold the values of fairness, accuracy, and respect
✓ You accept that failure to comply may affect your eligibility or recognition
