Indian Book of Records (“we”, “our”, “us”) is dedicated to maintaining the integrity, authenticity, and credibility of every submitted record attempt. To ensure a smooth, transparent, and fair evaluation process, all applicants must adhere to the guidelines outlined below.
These Submission Guidelines apply to all formats of record attempts, whether individual, group, institutional, or corporate.

1. Before You Submit

1.1 Review the Categories

Browse our record categories or consult with our team if you are unsure where your attempt fits. Submissions must align with recognized, measurable, and verifiable categories.

1.2 Understand the Requirements

Each record has specific rules. Ensure you fully understand the criteria, measurement standards, time requirements, and supporting documentation needed.

1.3 Safety First

Record attempts must be designed with safety as a top priority. Any act that is hazardous, unethical, or violates public safety guidelines will be disqualified immediately.

1.4 Originality & Eligibility

Only genuine, original, and complete submissions are accepted. Duplicate entries, plagiarized achievements, or unverifiable claims may be rejected.

2. Information You Must Provide

Each record submission must include the following:

2.1 Applicant Details

1. Full name
2. Age and date of birth
3. Contact information
4. Address
5. Any organizational or team affiliations

2.2 Record Title

Provide a clear, precise, and measurable title that reflects the nature of your attempt.

2.3 Description of the Attempt

Explain what was done, how it was executed, where it took place, and why it qualifies.

2.4 Supporting Evidence

You must provide authentic and complete evidence to verify your attempt. This may include:
1. High-quality videos showing the entire attempt from start to finish
2. Photographs taken during preparation and execution
3. Measurement records (timing sheets, counts, logs, etc.)
4. Witness statements from independent, credible observers
5. Expert validation where applicable (e.g., medical professionals, sports officials, engineers)
6. Media coverage, if available
Incomplete evidence may delay or invalidate the evaluation.

2.5 Declaration of Truth

You must confirm that all information provided is true, accurate, and submitted by the rightful performer or their authorized representative.

3. Video & Photo Evidence Requirements

3.1 Video Quality

1. Continuous, unedited footage is mandatory
2. Camera angles must clearly show the activity and measurement tools
3. Ensure visibility of timers, counters, weighing scales, etc.
4. Audio should be clear if verbal counting or announcements are required

3.2 Photo Guidelines

1. Photos must be high resolution
2. Capture beginning, mid-phase, and completion stages
3. Show equipment, environment, and participants clearly

4. Witness & Expert Guidelines

4.1 Independent Witnesses

Each submission must include statements from two independent witnesses who were present throughout the attempt.
Witnesses must confirm:
1. The accuracy of the attempt
2. Adherence to the rules
3. The final measurement or result

4.2 Official / Expert Verification

Some categories require specialized verification, such as:
4. Medical professionals
5. Sports referees
6. Academicians or researchers
7. Certified engineers
8. Government or institutional officials
Their certification or signatures must be attached where required.

5. Rules During the Record Attempt

5.1 Transparency

The attempt must be visible and clearly documented from beginning to end.

5.2 No Alterations

Editing, manipulation, or selective recording of evidence is strictly prohibited.

5.3 Continuous Effort

For endurance-based records, continuous activity must be demonstrated unless rest breaks are officially allowed per category rules.

5.4 Standardized Equipment

Use reliable, calibrated, and industry-standard equipment for measurement. Inaccurate or unverified devices may invalidate results.

6. After the Attempt

6.1 Submission Deadline

All required documentation must be submitted within 30 days of completing the attempt unless otherwise approved.

6.2 Verification Process

Once received, your submission will undergo:
1. Technical review
2. Evidence assessment
3. Witness validation
4. Record comparison with existing benchmarks
This process may take several weeks depending on complexity and volume.

6.3 Decision Notification

You will be informed by email regarding:
1. Approval
2. Rejection
3. Request for additional documents
4. Suggestions for a retry (if applicable)
Approval is granted only when all criteria and evidence meet our standards.

7. Disqualification Criteria

Your submission may be rejected if:
1. Evidence is incomplete, unclear, or edited
2. Rules were not followed
3. Witness or expert documentation is missing
4. The activity poses risk to life or public safety
5. Fraud, misrepresentation, or falsification is detected
6. The attempt violates ethical, legal, or public norms
7. The category is unsuitable or unverifiable
Fraudulent submissions may result in permanent blacklisting.

8. Intellectual Property & Publication

By submitting your attempt, you grant Indian Book of Records the right to:
1. Review, store, and archive your evidence
2. Publish approved records on our website, print editions, or media platforms
3. Use your name, images, and attempt details for informational or promotional purposes (only with appropriate consent)
We will never disclose sensitive personal data without your permission.

9. Fees & Additional Services

Some categories or services may involve administrative or processing fees, such as:
1. Fast-track verification
2. Adjudicator presence at the event
3. Certificate & merchandise charges
4. Re-evaluation requests
All fees will be transparently communicated before processing.
