Arvind Raturi

YOUTH SPOTLIGHT

Arvind Raturi, born in 1992 in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, is a distinguished mountaineer best known for being the youngest person from Uttarakhand to summit Mount Everest as part of the NCC Everest Expedition in 2013. At just 20 years old, Arvind displayed exceptional courage, endurance, and determination in one of the world’s most grueling and dangerous climbs, bringing pride to both his state and the country.

Before scaling Everest, Arvind underwent intense mountaineering training and participated in several high-altitude expeditions, including climbing Mount Kamet and surviving acclimatization training on the Siachen Glacier, one of the highest battlegrounds on Earth. His achievement was not just a personal milestone but also a symbol of youth empowerment and aspiration for countless young people from the hills. Arvind Raturi’s journey from a small Himalayan village to the top of the world serves as a powerful inspiration, proving that with discipline and passion, even the highest peaks literal and metaphorical can be conquered.
