Dolly Kumari, aged about 22, is a young leader from Lohapitti village in Giridih, Jharkhand. She works with Community – The Youth Collective and UNICEF to spread awareness in her community about gender rights and sexual and reproductive health. Despite strong social pressure to marry after completing school, she stood firm in continuing her education and advocacy. Dolly also organizes discussion sessions not just with young people but with their parents-especially mothers-to break taboos around topics like menstruation and bodily changes.
