. M. S. Namboodiripad, popularly known as EMS, was a prominent Indian Communist leader and the first Chief Minister of Kerala. Born into a Namboodiri Brahmin family, he became a powerful advocate for social justice, land reforms, and workers' rights. EMS played a crucial role in shaping Kerala’s political landscape by leading the world’s first democratically elected communist government in 1957.
