Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte

YOUTH SPOTLIGHT

Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte (born 9 June 2016) is a child singing prodigy from Lunglei, Mizoram, who first came into the spotlight in 2020 when her rendition of A. R. Rahman’s “Maa Tujhe Salaam” went viral. She has since released patriotic and folk music, been honoured with several awards-including special recognition from the Governor of Mizoram and the Young Achievers Award from Dalmia Cement-and in March 2025 received a guitar from Home Minister Amit Shah after her moving performance of “Vande Mataram”.
