Gautam Gambhir

Delhi’s Hall Of Fame

Gautam Gambhir is a former Indian cricketer and politician, known for his calm leadership and match-winning performances in major tournaments. He was born on October 14, 1981, in Delhi, and rose through the ranks of Delhi cricket before making his international debut in 2003. Gambhir was a key opening batsman for India in both Tests and ODIs, known for his solid technique, mental toughness, and ability to perform under pressure. He played pivotal roles in India’s victories in the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.

After retiring from cricket in 2018, Gambhir entered politics and became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), winning the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat in 2019. Beyond cricket, he is involved in philanthropy, supporting education and health initiatives for underprivileged children. Celebrated for his dedication, leadership, and resilience, Gautam Gambhir remains an influential figure both on and off the field.
