    Mizoram’s Hall Of Fame

Lalsangzuali Sailo was a celebrated gospel singer, composer, and cultural icon from Mizoram. She made a profound impact on Mizo music with her soulful and inspiring gospel songs, authoring over 300 compositions during her lifetime. Known for her melodious voice and deep spiritual expression, Lalsangzuali was instrumental in popularizing gospel music across Mizoram, blending traditional Mizo sounds with Christian themes. She holds the distinction of being the first Mizo artist to release an audio cassette, which helped bring Mizo gospel music to a wider audience. Her contributions were recognized at the national level when she was awarded the Padma Shri in 1998. Later, in 2000, she was honored as the "Greatest Singer of the Century" for her outstanding role in shaping the musical and cultural landscape of Mizoram.
