Meghnad Saha (1893–1956) was a renowned Indian astrophysicist from West Bengal, best known for developing the Saha ionization equation, a groundbreaking contribution to astrophysics. Born in a poor family in Shaoratoli village (now in Bangladesh), Saha rose through immense hardships to become one of the most influential scientists of his time. He studied at Presidency College, Kolkata, alongside other legendary scholars like Satyendra Nath Bose.
