Namchoom Arun

Chau Zingnu Namchoom (born 1976) is an Indian politician from Namsai district, Arunachal Pradesh, currently serving as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the 47-Namsai (ST) constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and has held his seat since 2014. Namchoom has been active in initiatives for rural development, including organizing farming promotion events (oil palm, turmeric) based on soil suitability using satellite data for his constituency. He also supports cultural preservation, having launched a “Tai Khamti Ani Book” to foster the Tai-Khamti language and traditions.
