Neeraj Chopra is one of India’s brightest sporting stars and the first Indian athlete to win a Gold Medal in Athletics at the Olympic Games. Born on December 24, 1997, in Khandra village, Panipat district, his family has roots in Bihar, and his inspiring journey has motivated millions across the country, including Bihar’s youth.Neeraj’s crowning moment came at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he threw the javelin a remarkable 87.58 meters, clinching the gold medal and making history for India. Beyond his Olympic triumph, Neeraj has won several other international medals, including gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Asian Games.
