Prachi Shevgaonkar, a young changemaker from Pune, Maharashtra, is the founder of Cool The Globe-a mobile app that empowers individuals to reduce their carbon footprint through small, everyday actions. As a mass communication graduate, she was moved by the urgency of climate change and wanted to prove that ordinary people can be powerful climate warriors.
Her work has gained international recognition, with users from over 110 countries collectively saving millions of kilograms of emissions. Prachi was awarded the Hindu Business Line Changemaker Award and the COP27 Young Scholar Award, and was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for social impact. She has also served as a climate advisor to Tata Power and as a UN Foundation Fellow, showing how her grassroots initiative has scaled into a global movement.
