Prasiddhi Singh, born in 2012 in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, is an extraordinary young environmental activist who has already made a huge impact despite her young age. She is the founder of the Prasiddhi Forest Foundation; an initiative focused on creating and nurturing mini-forests to combat deforestation and climate change. Since starting her mission, Prasiddhi has helped plant thousands of trees and established over a dozen mini-forests, turning barren land into thriving green spaces.
Her dedication to the environment earned her the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar in 2021, a national honor given to exceptional children in India for their outstanding contributions. Prasiddhi’s work not only helps restore biodiversity but also inspires people of all ages to take responsibility for the planet’s health. She stands as a shining example of how even the youngest voices can lead powerful environmental change.
