    Jharkhand’s Hall Of Fame

Shibu Soren is a prominent political leader from Jharkhand and a key figure in the state’s formation. Born on January 11, 1944, in the Santhal Pargana region, he is the founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a political party that played a pivotal role in the movement for the creation of Jharkhand as a separate state from Bihar. Soren has served multiple terms as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and has been a significant voice advocating for tribal rights and development. His leadership helped bring tribal issues to the forefront of Indian politics, and he is credited with mobilizing widespread support for Jharkhand’s statehood, which was achieved in 2000. Despite controversies during his political career, Shibu Soren remains one of the most influential and respected leaders in Jharkhand’s history.
