On Rishi Panchami, August 28, 2025, at the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Trust pandal in Pune, Maharashtra, approximately 35,000 women from across the state gathered in traditional attire from as early as 2:00 AM, to collectively recite the sacred Atharvashirsha hymn followed by a grand Maha Aarti, successfully organizing the 40th annual mass chanting ceremony a powerful and spiritually charged event honoring “nari shakti” (women’s empowerment), meticulously choreographed by around 150 women coordinators and supported by 500 volunteers despite early morning rains, and graced by dignitaries including MP Sunetra Pawar and international participants like Anna Maraniello from Italy.
