The Grand Jhumur Dance Spectacle was held on February 24, 2025, at Sarusajai Stadium, Guwahati, where 8,888 dancers performed together to celebrate the traditional Jhumur dance of Assam’s tea tribe community. This massive gathering set a world record for the largest Jhumur dance performance, showcasing the rich folk heritage and cultural unity of the community. The event highlighted the vibrancy of Assam’s folk traditions while bringing national and international recognition to the state’s cultural legacy.
