The Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) is one of India’s largest literary and cultural gatherings, held annually in Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala, on the scenic Kozhikode Beach. Organized by the DC Kizhakemuri Foundation with support from the Kerala government, it celebrates literature, arts, cinema, science, history, and politics, offering a vibrant space for dialogue and creativity. The 8th edition of KLF was held from January 23 to 26, 2025, featuring over 520 speakers, 330 sessions, and attracting nearly 500,000 attendees from across the globe. The festival includes panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings, film screenings, music performances, and cultural exhibitions, with past participants including renowned figures such as Arundhati Roy, M.T. Vasudevan Nair, Shashi Tharoor, Noam Chomsky (virtually), and Taslima Nasrin. KLF continues to be a major intellectual and cultural platform in South Asia, bridging languages, ideas, and generations.
