The Non-stop Classical Dance Marathon at the Kolkata International Dance Festival was a landmark cultural event where over 1,600 artists came together to perform for an incredible 32 hours and 11 minutes without a break. Hosted at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Kolkata in 2023, the marathon featured a rich blend of Indian classical dance forms, showcasing the depth and diversity of the country’s traditions. This spectacular feat not only celebrated the endurance and dedication of the participating dancers but also entered the record books as one of the longest continuous classical dance performances, bringing global recognition to West Bengal’s vibrant cultural spirit.
