On January 24, 2025, Delhi set a Guinness World Record for the Largest Indian Folk Variety Dance, featuring 5,194 participants from across India. Organized by the Ministry of Culture and the Sangeet Natak Akademi as part of the Republic Day celebrations, the performance showcased over 50 traditional dance forms including Bihu, Kalbelia, Chhau, Padayani, and Monpa Mask Dance. Lasting 11 minutes, the choreography celebrated themes like Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (One India, Great India), blending traditional music, costumes, and movements into a vibrant display of cultural heritage and national pride, captivating audiences nationwide and globally.
