The largest recorded Kathakali dance took place on 12 February 2011 at the Putharikkandam Grounds in Thiruvananthapuram, where the Art of Living Foundation, Kerala Chapter organized a grand performance involving 150 Kathakali dancers, accompanied by 15 musicians, all dressed in full traditional attire, and earning recognition from the Guinness World Records for orchestrating the largest kathakali ensemble to date.
