The Largest Kuchipudi Dance was a grand cultural event held on April 11, 2017, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where 7,002 dancers performed the classical Kuchipudi dance in unison. Organized by the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (APSWREIS), the event aimed to celebrate Andhra Pradesh’s rich dance heritage and promote Kuchipudi one of India's eight classical dance forms that originated in the state. The participants, primarily students from government-run welfare schools, underwent months of training to perform the dance together with precision and grace. This large scale performance not only earned a Guinness World Record but also showcased how traditional arts can empower and inspire youth, especially from underprivileged backgrounds.
