The Largest Kuchipudi Dance Performance was held on December 25, 2014, at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad, Telangana, where a record-breaking 5,978 dancers from across the state and country came together to perform in unison under the guidance of eminent Kuchipudi exponent Dr. Vedantam Ramalinga Sastry. The mega event, organized as part of the International Kuchipudi Dance Convention, was attended by over 50,000 spectators, making it one of the grandest cultural gatherings in India and earning recognition in the Guinness World Records.
