The largest Madhubani painting depicting the Ramayana was created by Dr. Chhaya Kumari from Mangalore, Karnataka. Measuring 6 feet by 6 feet, the artwork portrays 25 key scenes from the epic Ramayana in the traditional Mithila style. This monumental painting was officially recognized by both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of Records on November 30, 2021. The unveiling event attracted over 200 attendees, including art enthusiasts, cultural scholars, and local community members, highlighting the significance of folk art in Karnataka’s cultural landscape.
