Madhya Pradesh made history by setting the Guinness World Record for the Largest Tabla Ensemble during the 99th Tansen Samaroh held in Gwalior on December 26, 2023. In this grand cultural spectacle, a total of 1,276 tabla players performed together in perfect synchronization, creating a thunderous symphony of rhythm that echoed the depth of India’s classical music heritage. This extraordinary feat not only honored the legacy of Miyan Tansen, one of the greatest maestros of Hindustani classical music, but also reinforced Gwalior’s standing as a global hub of musical excellence.
