The Longest Fire Dance Marathon was performed by R. Anbuthambi from Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, who danced continuously for 12 hours from 3:30 pm to 3:30 am on 28 July 2012 at Semmedu. This intense and captivating fire dance was aimed at raising awareness about global warming and environmental conservation. The performance was officially recorded in the India Book of Records, highlighting both the artist’s endurance and the cultural significance of traditional fire dances in Tamil Nadu.
