The Longest Painting Marathon in Odisha was held in Bhubaneswar on 22 December 2018, where over 250 young artists and professional painters came together to create artworks for a continuous 24-hour session. Organized by leading art institutions and cultural forums, the event focused on themes of Odisha’s rich heritage, Jagannath culture, environment, and folk life. Artists worked in rotation to ensure the marathon remained uninterrupted, producing large canvases that reflected both tradition and modern creativity. The event drew an audience of more than 1,000 visitors, making it one of the biggest art marathons in the state and setting a record for the longest painting event in Odisha.
