The Longest Relay Bharatanatyam Live Concert was held in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, on 7–8 March 2016, where 176 dancers and 26 musicians came together to perform 132 unique Bharatanatyam compositions in a continuous 12-hour relay performance. This grand cultural event showcased both solo and group performances, each dancer contributing their segment seamlessly to the marathon. Officially recognized by the Asia Book of Records, the concert was a tribute to the depth and diversity of Bharatanatyam and served as a platform for artists from across Tamil Nadu to exhibit their classical expertise and devotion to the traditional art form.
