The Longest Silambam Marathon took place on 27–28 October 2021 in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, where 25 rural primary school students performed the traditional Tamil martial art Silambam continuously for 24 hours. This event was organized to promote the ancient art form among younger generations and to support the state’s educational initiative, "Illam Thedi Kalvi." The marathon was officially recognized by Triumph World Records and highlighted the dedication of young practitioners in preserving and showcasing Tamil Nadu’s rich cultural heritage through endurance and skill.
