The record for the longest singing marathon by an individual in Maharashtra was set by Sunil Waghmare from Nagpur, Maharashtra, who performed nonstop singing for 105 hours from 11:06 a.m. on 3 March 2012 to 7:00 p.m. on 7 March 2012 at Hindi Mor Bhavan in Sitabuldi, Nagpur, paying heartfelt tribute to his idol Mohammad Rafi and delivering over 1,252 songs during the marathon.
