← Longest Theatre Performance Marathon

The Longest Theatre Performance Marathon was accomplished by a group of 12 students from Loyola College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, who performed continuously for 72 hours from 19 to 22 September 2006 at Bertram Hall, Loyola College. The students staged 13 plays back-to-back, all based on Biblical stories, performed in the Tamil language. Despite the grueling schedule, 11 out of the 12 students completed the entire 72-hour marathon, showcasing immense dedication, endurance, and passion for theatre. This remarkable feat was recognized as a world record and stands as a testament to Tamil Nadu’s strong tradition in performing arts and theatre.
