The Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan, held annually in Jalandhar, Punjab, is recognized as the oldest Hindustani classical music festival in the world, with its origins tracing back to 1875. Organized every year from 27 to 30 December at the Samadhi of Baba Harballabh, the festival brings together legendary vocalists, instrumentalists, and thousands of music lovers from across India and abroad. Over the decades, it has become a prestigious platform for promoting classical traditions, nurturing young talent, and preserving the cultural heritage of Punjab. Its uninterrupted legacy for nearly a century and a half makes it not only a musical celebration but also a symbol of Punjab’s timeless devotion to art and spirituality.
