The National Anthem Singing Competition – 2022 in Jammu and Kashmir was a significant cultural initiative launched by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) to commemorate 75 years of India's independence under the 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' campaign. Held online from August 1 to August 7, 2022, the competition received an overwhelming response, with approximately 9,000 entries from across the region, encompassing around 50,000 participants. The entries were submitted through a Google link and were categorized into individual and group formats, with age-specific subcategories for individuals. Notably, districts in South Kashmir exhibited a particularly enthusiastic participation. The competition culminated in district-level winners performing the national anthem at their respective district headquarters on Independence Day, with cash prizes awarded to the top three performers in each category.
