On December 23, 2019, the three-day children's cultural festival “National Balrang 2019” concluded at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya in Bhopal. School students from 14 states participated in the national-level folk dance competition. The Sikkim team performed the Nepali folk dance “Jindgi ho Jhilkon”, securing 1st place and was awarded a cash prize of ₹31,000 along with a trophy.
