The Largest Synchronized Dance Performance of the Chutkey Dance was held on 16 May 2025 at Paljor Stadium, Gangtok, during the celebrations of Sikkim’s 50th Statehood Day. The event witnessed 1,100 students from 18 schools performing the traditional Nepali folk dance “Chutkey” in perfect synchronization, creating a vibrant display of rhythm and unity. Organized by the Tapashree Dance Academy, the performance was officially recognized by the International Book of Records as the largest-ever Chutkey dance performance, making it a cultural milestone that showcased Sikkim’s rich folk traditions on a grand stage.
