The Sikkim Rising Star talent hunt is regarded as the state’s largest platform for emerging singers and performers, showcasing musical talent from every district. In Season 3 (2022), the event drew nearly 1,000 participants and around 5,000 spectators at its finale in Gangtok, where the “Dream Band” emerged as the winner in the singing category, claiming a ₹1 lakh prize. By Season 4 (2025), the competition had expanded massively, with over 5,000 participants across all categories, including a significant singing segment, and a total prize pool exceeding ₹2 lakh. The singing winner of Season 4 was Pranay Rai, who received the top award for his outstanding vocal performance, further cementing the event’s status as Sikkim’s biggest singing competition.
