Visakha Utsav is a grand annual cultural and tourism festival held in Visakhapatnam during the last week of December, attracting massive crowds to venues like R.K. Beach and YSR Central Park. The festival features a wide range of events including folk and classical performances, flower shows, carnivals, and craft exhibitions. In 2013, the event saw a footfall of over 2 lakh (200,000) people, while in 2016, around 50,000 visitors attended on the first day alone, with 10,000 of them visiting the temple replica and flower show. The 2019 edition recorded one of the highest turnouts with an estimated 3 lakh (300,000) people attending overall, including 5,000 schoolchildren participating in the opening-day carnival and nearly 1 lakh (100,000) visitors at the flower show alone, marking it as one of the most celebrated cultural gatherings in Andhra Pradesh.
