Saluting Naval Bravery
Indian Navy Day is celebrated on 4th December every year to commemorate the success of Operation Trident during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, when the Indian Navy attacked Karachi harbor. The day was initiated to honor the bravery, role, and achievements of the Indian Naval forces.
Waves of Valor
In India, Indian Navy Day is celebrated with naval parades, exhibitions, ship visits, and public displays of naval capabilities in ports like Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. The Navy showcases its strength through demonstrations, honors martyrs, and conducts outreach programs to inspire youth.
