The Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) plays a central role in linking global investors with state-level opportunities. Period: 2025 (Expo) onward with ongoing policy push. GlobalFootprint: The Hornbill Festival in Kisama (Kohima) is regarded as the “Festival of Festivals” for Nagaland, showcasing tribal cultures, music, crafts, dance. It attracts domestic and international tourists, media, and diaspora. Also many tribal festivals (Sekrenyi, Tsoukum, Khautsauhsie, etc.) contribute to its reputation. Period: Since 2000 (Hornbill) to present; tribal festivals perennial. Impact: • Generates substantial economic activity: tourism, hospitality, local crafts, food, lodging. For example, Hornbill Festival 2024 reported ~₹ 200 crore economic impact. • Raises global cultural awareness of Naga traditions, crafts, music.
