Indian Book of Records - National Mountain Climbing Day

Scaling heights with pride-India celebrates courage, peaks, and adventure today!

Climbing Heights Day

National Mountain Climbing Day is celebrated on August 1st, initially established in 2005 in the United States. It was created to honor the successful climb of the Adirondack High Peaks by Bobby Matthews and his friend Josh Madigan, and has since inspired adventurers globally to celebrate mountaineering spirit.

Summit Spirit Celebration

In India, National Mountain Climbing Day is celebrated by mountaineering clubs, adventure institutes, and enthusiasts through treks, awareness campaigns, and training sessions. It’s also a day to honor Indian mountaineers who’ve scaled peaks like Everest and promote eco-friendly adventure tourism in the Himalayas.

Celebrate National Mountain Climbing Day – Get Featured & Honored!

If you or your organization celebrate National Mountain Climbing Day by sharing photos or videos of treks, climbs, or related events, we’ll proudly feature them in our Gallery and Videos section. As a tribute, the Indian Book of Records will send you a Certificate of Appreciation, honoring your adventurous spirit and love for the mountains.
