Fueling Healthy India
National Nutrition Week in India is observed from September 1st to 7th, initiated in 1982 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It was started to spread awareness about the importance of nutrition, balanced diets, and healthy eating habits to combat malnutrition across the country.
Nourishing the Nation
In India, National Nutrition Week is celebrated with health camps, awareness drives, workshops, and school programs promoting balanced diets and healthy lifestyles. Government departments, NGOs, and educational institutions organize events to combat malnutrition and spread nutritional awareness, especially among women and children.
