Dinesh Reddy, a 22-year-old environmentalist from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, is leading a grassroots movement to make the state greener and more sustainable. Through his initiative, the “Green Andhra” campaign, he has mobilized thousands of volunteers to plant over 50,000 saplings across schools, public spaces, and rural areas in more than a dozen districts. But Dinesh’s mission goes beyond tree planting-he conducts workshops on sustainable living, waste management, and biodiversity conservation, urging youth and communities to take ownership of their environment. His rallying cry, “If we don’t act now, there won’t be trees left for the next generation,” reflects the urgency of his cause.
