Maharana Pratap (1540–1597) was the legendary king of Mewar, Rajasthan, renowned for his unwavering resistance against the Mughal emperor Akbar. Born into the Sisodia Rajput clan, he is celebrated as a symbol of courage, honor, and patriotism. His most famous battle was the Battle of Haldighati in 1576, where, despite being outnumbered, he fought valiantly against the Mughal forces. Though the battle was inconclusive, Maharana Pratap refused to surrender and continued to resist Mughal domination through guerrilla warfare.
