Parvez Rasool

Jammu and Kashmir’s Hall Of Fame

Parvez Rasool, born on February 13, 1989, in Bijbehara, Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, is a professional cricketer and the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to represent India in international cricket. An all-rounder, he is a right-handed batsman and an off-spin bowler.
Parvez made his mark in domestic cricket playing for Jammu and Kashmir, where he consistently performed in the Ranji Trophy, gaining national attention. His breakthrough came in 2013 when he was selected for the Indian national team and later made his international debut in 2014 in an ODI against Bangladesh. He also played for teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Pune Warriors India in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Rasool is considered a trailblazer for aspiring cricketers from Jammu and Kashmir. His success helped bring recognition to cricketing talent from the region and inspired many young players to pursue the sport professionally.
