State Emblem

State Symbols of Uttar Pradesh

The official emblem of Uttar Pradesh beautifully captures the state’s cultural depth and spiritual heritage. It depicts the sacred confluence of the Ganga and Yamuna rivers at Prayagraj, known as the Triveni Sangam, symbolizing purity, unity, and divinity. At the center are a pair of Matsyas (mythical fish) representing the ancient Awadh region, signifying prosperity and abundance. A bow and arrow symbolize Lord Rama and the holy city of Ayodhya, reflecting valor and righteousness.
As a state symbol, this emblem embodies faith, tradition, and governance rooted in moral strength. The encircling text “Government of Uttar Pradesh” signifies authority and unity under one emblem of heritage. It represents the harmonious blend of spirituality, culture, and administrative integrity that defines the state. Together, these sacred elements reflect Uttar Pradesh’s timeless identity and its guiding principles of justice, harmony, and devotion.
