A monk physician practicing Tibetan herbal medicine in remote areas of Himachal Pradesh, Yeshi Dhoden has served as a traditional healer to underserved communities, preserving ancient medicinal knowledge. He was one of the “unsung heroes” recognized with a Padma Shri award.
