Indian Book of Records - World AIDS Day

Red ribbons rise, stigma falls-India unites for AIDS awareness!

Red Ribbon Remembrance

World AIDS Day was first observed on 1st December 1988, initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO). It was created to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and show solidarity with people living with the disease.

India Fights AIDS

In India, World AIDS Day is marked by awareness campaigns, health check-up camps, and educational programs led by NACO (National AIDS Control Organisation). Red ribbon symbols, street plays, and rallies are common to promote safe practices and reduce stigma.
