Bajrang Punia

Haryana’s Hall Of Fame

Bajrang Punia is one of India’s top freestyle wrestlers, known for his aggressive style and consistent performances on the international stage. Born on February 26, 1994, in Khudan village, Jhajjar district, Haryana, Bajrang showed a strong passion for wrestling from a young age. Training under the guidance of expert coaches, he quickly rose through the ranks with his determination and skill, primarily competing in the 65 kg and 70 kg weight categories. Bajrang has won multiple medals at major events, including the World Wrestling Championships, where he secured bronze medals in 2018 and 2019, and gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Wrestling Championships. He is also an Olympic medalist, having won the bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (held in 2021). Bajrang’s achievements have made him a role model for aspiring wrestlers across India, and he continues to be a dominant force in international wrestling.
