Khundrakpam Pradipkumar Singh is an HIV-positive bodybuilder and social advocate from Manipur who overcame drug addiction and stigma to win recognition in sports and public health awareness. He was diagnosed with HIV in 2000, following intravenous drug use, and his CD4 count fell to as low as 16. Rather than withdrawing, he embraced bodybuilding, winning the Senior Mr. Manipur crown in the 60-kg category, a silver medal in state competitions, and later a bronze medal at the WBPF World Bodybuilding Championships in Bangkok. In 2008, he was appointed as the Brand Ambassador for HIV/AIDS by the Manipur State AIDS Control Society, and has used his story and achievements to inspire people living with HIV to “live and achieve.”
